My name is Stacy Hansen; I am the owner
of Texas Star Safari and Texas Star Bengal's. I would
like to introduce myself and my family to you.
As a small child, we can not wait to experience everything , in order
to grow up as fast as possible. As an adult, we look back lovingly at that
all too quick process called childhood.
What I remember most
is my Dad
and Mom, my brother and my animals. My family had many animals
while I was
growing up. My Mom raised Great Dane dogs. My brother and I loved each and
every one of them, especially 'Nicki', my mom's dog.. She was a fawn Great
Dane which Mom showed in obedience trials. 'Nicki' had a litter of 11 puppies.
Mom thought one puppy was born dead. She was trying every thing she could
think of, not lose any of the puppies. Mom was rubbing on him and trying to
keep him
warm , trying to save him. She got some bourbon from the bar and
gave him just
a little. It stimulated him enough for him to gasp for air and
brought him back
to life. That puppy ended up with the name 'Bourbon' . He
grew up to be a very big, and beautiful, healthy show dog.
I raised Persian Cats/Kittens as a teenager for extra money and all the
furry cuddles that a child needs and can stand. Taking care of them was hard
work but they depended on me, so it was easy to do. I learned all about them
and how to take care of them. Later, as a young adult, I had the opportunity
to work with the big cats. You will see their pictures throughout the web
site. I was fascinated with everything about them. I set out to learn as
much about them as I could. Along the way, I discovered Jean Mill's and her
exciting work with the Bengals.
The transition into raising Bengals just
came naturally. and is my biggest joy (with the exception of my son and
daughter). My mother, "Regena", is my constant inspiration and knowledge base. She has
allowed me to set up my cattery at her home just north of Dallas. We are
located in the rural community of Lavon. We raise the kittens in our home
with the same warmth and love that my brother and I grew up with.
I have introduced many people (Client's
Page) to being owned by a beautiful, well socialized Bengal, including my
friend, Jamie, in Louisiana. She helps me with some of the kittens, emails
and webpage, so that I can spend more time with my two children and our
beautiful Asian Leopard cats (ALC Page). Jamie has opened
her own
cattery now, Bodcau Bayou Bengals, in North Louisiana.

NOW I WOULD LIKE TO HELP YOU GET STARTED ON THE MOST INCREDIBLE ADVENTURE
OF YOUR LIFE -
BEING OWNED BY THESE WONDERFUL CATS -
THE BENGAL.
